For most site owners, building online publicity through press release writing is a common practice we see today. Most of these sites need as much traffic and hits they can solicit and what better way to undergo such marketing efforts other than to resort to press releases which broadcast the latest news and updates about their company products or services.

(Source)I think my best tip for clients on the topic of optimizing their press release for search and social media, is to begin to think of the press release not just as a media relations tool, as it has been historically, but instead to view creating a press release as compiling a mini web page on the news or topic being written about.

The need for site optimization is a given for most sites wanting to position themselves for people relying heavily on the web. Hence, press release writing has to be artistic and catchy for one. Search engines put weight on good headlines and constructing interesting headers using the keywords that a website is catering too will surely be something that will be to the benefit of site owners wanting to carve their niche online.

Sticking to the topic is something critical for press releases of any company. It is indeed a marketing tool of sorts, but the thing is, the whole web marketing endeavor will be rendered useless if the site goes a bit off-topic. Remember, people want to find all their needs in one site as much as possible and if consistency of terms is present, why else would there be a need for them to look for their needs on other sites?
