Press Release Marketing 101: Plan out your Strategy!



You have built a website, published it and now what? Wait for customers to land on your website, pull out their credit card and start buying? If it where that easy I would be sitting on a beach in Maui with my sunglasses. Unfortunately now you have to get your website visible. Launching a website and not doing anything can pretty much guarantee you an invisible company.

A properly designed and executed online press release campaign will not make you rich but it sure will get the wheels spinning for your website to start climbing the rankings in the various search engines. You need to picture your website like an empty gas tank and it needs fuel to run and climb. Once you have figured out that you want to promote your website through a press release campaign you need to map out your strategy. Putting together a 12 month outline on topics and keywords you want to target will allow you to stay on track with your campaign. Pick chose your vendors ahead of time so when it is time to distribute you don’t have to go and search around for distribution companies. Let Microsoft Excel be your best friend. Use nice bright colors and arrange the boxes so that you can keep yourself organized. When it comes time to writing you will be a few steps ahead of the game. By taking this approach with all your online marketing you can map out your entire online marketing strategy. Online publicity and website promotions in general require a great deal of information and you need to be organized to accurately execute all your tasks. Taking this approach will ensure one step closer to generating a power house of a website.
